Matters we handle

• Divorce. Both sides need a neutral, well-supported value they can rely on, whether the home is sold or one spouse buys out the other. Our appraisals rely on recent comparable sales and show their reasoning, so the value holds up in negotiation and in front of a judge.
• Estate and probate. Families need a documented value as of a specific day, most often the date of death, for probate, estate settlement, dividing assets among heirs, or a buyout between siblings. We also provide a current market value when the estate wants one.
• Retrospective values. When the effective date is in the past, we research the market as it stood on that date rather than today. We use the effective date you specify.
• Property tax protest. An independent appraisal is one of the strongest pieces of evidence for an appraisal review board hearing. We cover Harris, Fort Bend, Montgomery, Brazoria, Chambers, Galveston and Liberty counties.
• Bankruptcy. One of the assignments we see most often.

What to expect
